Child Rights Week Celebration

Child Rights Week was celebrated from 14th November 2019 to 20th November 2019 in various schools in Pune. Laws related to children, Child Rights, Child Marriage, addiction, etc topics were explained to the children with the help of role plays, street plays, and interactive sessions.

Training for volunteers to spread awareness among students on how to stay safe in the cyber world. API Gajanan Kamble guided students on various online threats, precautions to be taken, and IT act provisions for fine and punishment. He also answered queries of students on this topic. Volunteers of NMCoE will sensitize around 30,000 students from schools & colleges on Cyber Security Awareness in nearby areas.

PSI Rupali Pawar (Cyber Cell,Pune) discussed various cyber crimes through case studies. She also briefed about IT acts and it’s provisions. Interested students also asked her questions about career in cyber security and helping law enforcement. 20 Volunteers were shortlisted, who will sensitize 10,000 students.

Training for volunteers for spreading cyber security awareness was conducted at KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon

PI Dattatray Pardeshi, PSI Nemane and Cyber Expert Dilip Chinchole were present for the session. The first session was conducted by PSI Angad Nemane – Cyber police station, Jalgaon. He gave information about various cyber-crimes and victimization in Jalgaon district. He also briefed about precautionary measures to stay safe in cyberspace. The second session was conducted by Quick Heal Foundation on types of malware, social media threats, online threats, internet addiction. Also, students were guided on the process of approaching schools and how to conduct the session in school for younger ones. 130 students attended the session who will further sensitize 1,20,000 students under a region of KBC NM University, Jalgaon.

Police Program in Modern Highschool

The police interaction session was organized at Modern High School for adolescents. The program was intended to discuss and communicate with the students about the cyber crimes and consequences of teasing. The Police officials narrated real cases about cybercrimes, victimization, teasing, etc. The students came up with many questions which were cleared by Mr.Bapu Shinde and Mr.Deepak Jadhav (Pune Police).

Drug consumption has become one of the gravest problems affecting the youth of the country. The observance of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking aimed to raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs represent to society. Quick Heal Foundation in association with Pankh, conducted an awareness program at Shri.Shivaji Maratha High School on 26th June. 150students present there, took a pledge to stay away from the abuse of any drug.

Inauguration of DAS Mall for the Katkaris

Even today, the Katkari tribe is deprived of food, clothing, and shelter. Under Quick Heal’s initiative Project Disha, for the katkari tribe, a new concept of ‘DAS Shop’, in association with Donate Aid Society and Kasba Ganpati Samajik Sanstha, has been started.

This shop has clothes donated by people. These clothes are refurbished by the katkari women and kept for sale at a meager cost of Rs.10/- to Rs.20/-, for the katkaris. This initiative has lead to livelihood for the people there.

The idea of DAS Shop evolved into ‘DAS Mall’. DAS mall is started in Jamgaon, Pune with the aim to provide the katkaris with household items, along with clothes, like furniture, electronic items, school stationery, etc. All these items are received through donations. And will benefit around 4000 katkaris.

This mall was inaugurated by Ms.Netra Deshpande(Director Engineering Development, Quick Heal Technologies) on 18th May 2019.
