This initiative provides young students from socio-economically weaker backgrounds a means to access accurate information regarding vital subjects otherwise rarely discussed. We provide counselling and awareness regarding behavioural and family problems, addiction, challenges in studies, sex education, HIV and AIDS awareness, child and sexual abuse and more. Counsellors can be sought out for issues ranging from careers, puberty and its challenges to being a responsible citizen and human being. The sessions help resolve behavioural issues in adolescents and dissuade them from risky sexual behaviour. Shaalangan acts as a platform for the children to freely discuss their grievances in an open and safe environment. The Centre helps prepare the students for future eventualities and prevent them from committing or being a victim of crime.
